Five Guys - Edinburgh

The Five Guys concept has been a huge success story, providing a bridge between fast food and restaurant dining. The Five Guys story begins in Arlington, Virginia in 1986 when Jerry Murrell give his sons a choice: go to college or open a restaurant. The restaurant won out, and the rest, as they say, is history. The menu is limited primarily to burgers and hotdogs and the only side on offer is fries. Unlike most fast food outlets, Five Guys don’t use timers to cook their food. Instead they rely on the knowledge and experience of the staff to get it right. The most famous patron of Five Guys is Barack Obama and since Five Guys refuse to deliver, the former president has been pictured at the fast food eatery more than once – although never in the Fountain Park branch. Not yet, anyway.
